Gas mower service

Engine & fuel system

• Inspect engine, exhaust, fuel, and fuel system
• Change engine oil and filter where equipped
• Replace air and fuel filters and spark plug as applicable
• Add fuel stabilizer to the tank

Drive, controls & safety

• Check self-propel/transmission operation
• Check throttle, choke, and self-propel cables
• Check safety features, wheels, gears, and hardware
• Check battery, charging system, and wiring harness where equipped

Blade & deck care

• Sharpen blades and clean underside of deck
• Grease the unit and blow off grass

Electric mower service

Battery & electrical system

• Test battery performance and condition
• Inspect battery terminals and connections
• Test charger operation
• Inspect electric motor, wiring, switches, and controls

Drive, controls & safety

• Check all safety features
• Check self-propel system, if equipped
• Check wheels, gears, hardware, and fasteners
• Perform an operational test

Blade & deck care

• Inspect blade condition and balance; sharpen mower blade
• Clean underside of deck and remove grass and debris
• Lubricate moving parts as needed
